Our Land Life team is expanding worldwide. A couple of weeks ago, we announced that Emily Merlo joined our US team. Now, we proudly announce that Rodrigo Ramos joined the Land Life Company as operations manager in Spain. We talked with him about his reasons for joining Land Life, his role and ambitions for the future.

What did you do before joining Land Life Company?
Rodrigo: I am a forest engineer from Palencia. I have been finalizing a double masters’ degree at the University of Valladolid in both Forest Engineering and Data Science-Based Forest Management. During my studies, I worked in government agencies to prevent forest fires both in the office and in the field, so needless to say, I’m a big fan of the work Land Life Company does in Spain.
Why did you choose to work for Land Life Company?
Rodrigo: As a forest engineer, I admire the approach of Land Life Company. The technology they use really enables large scale and successful reforestation. This is something that really excites me, especially the way they apply data science to optimize reforestation.
What does your role entail?
Rodrigo: I work on the complete tree planting cycle in Castilla y León in Spain. This goes from scouting sites for planting projects to writing project proposals and supervising the actual plantations.
And finally, what do you hope to achieve at Land Life Company?
Rodrigo: For me, working at Land Life Company is a great opportunity to gain international working experiences and really upgrade my technological skills.
Welcome to Land Life Company, Rodrigo! We are super happy to have you on our team.
