Planting seeds of hope
At Land Life Company, we are continuously monitoring the latest updates and information about the global COVID-19 outbreak on behalf of our employees, our clients and the communities we work with. We want to share an update on the steps we are currently taking, such as:
- Employee safety.
We have taken measures to safeguard the health of our employees and preserve our ability to operate. This includes implementing health and safety trainings regarding handwashing and equipment. All local offices are complying with their respective local and national regulations.
- Field operations.
Most of the 2020’s plantings have already taken place, and thanks to our technology, we are able to continue monitoring growth at a distance. A few plantings have been paused due to the current situation as we felt strongly we needed to prioritize the safety of everyone involved.
- Commercial operations.
Up to this point, the COVID-19 pandemic has not affected our commercial operations in a significant or negative way. In the coming quarters, we expect economic turbulence across most markets that present risks but also opportunities, so we will monitor and update our plans accordingly.
- Customer and partner support.
Partnerships remain central to our approach, and we are working hard to make sure we keep you equipped with information and tailored solutions. We know it’s not business as usual right now, and we are happy to discuss how best to support our customers and valued partners during this period.
- The future of sustainability.
It is evident that the current pandemic will have an enormous impact on our societies and economies at all scales. At this point, we can only imagine what the post-COVID world will look like. What is increasingly clear in these times is the importance of the UN Sustainable Development agenda that seeks to keep the planet, its ecosystems and all forms of life healthy. We are confident there will be a place for reforestation in our global healing process.
We remain passionate about pursuing our mission. Moreover, we want to assure those who work with us that their trust in us is well-placed, and we will weather this storm together.
