Iberdrola - Carbon2Nature Australia Case Study: Managing Complexity to Deliver High-Integrity ACCUs at Scale

How Land Life delivered a board-ready Environmental Plantings project restoring biodiversity and generating ~137,200 ACCUs in South Australia in partnership with Carbon2Nature Australia (C2NA). C2NA is a subsidiary of Carbon2Nature, the dedicated global nature restoration company of Iberdrola, and its local subsidiary Iberdrola Australia.

The challenge

A board-level commitment

Iberdrola Australia formalised a commitment to procure high-integrity Environmental Plantings ACCUs.

The carbon credits needed to deliver:

  • Integrity and durability
  • Biodiversity and social outcomes
  • Governance and long-term land security
  • Certainty on pricing and risk

Carbon2Nature Australia required a project that could meet these standards quickly and credibly.

The partnership

A multi-entity collaboration

Land Life partnered with:

  • Carbon2Nature headquarters (Spain) and Carbon2Nature Australia
  • Iberdrola Group headquarters (Spain) and Iberdrola Australia
  • Cassinia Environmental (Australia)
  • Wirangu and Nauo Aboriginal Corporation

This required managing governance across multiple jurisdictions, boards and compliance frameworks.
