Testimonial

"When dad bought the property 34 years ago the land was mostly cleared and overgrazed. He was very environmentally minded and worked tirelessly to improve the land during all those years with limited resources. Through Land Life, their restoration partner Cassinia Environmental and the Victorian Government's BushBank Program, we've had a work crew do all the planting, weed and pest control, something beyond our capacity. For us it’s about righting a wrong on a property that should never have been cleared. We’re working to heal the country and land. It’s never going to be exactly the same, but it’ll provide a functional ecosystem and habitat for flora and fauna. The reforestation project also contributes to Land Life's carbon sequestration efforts, so not only are we delivering dad's dream, we're contributing to the environment on a much broader scale."

THE PROCESS

We bring science, technology, funding, and proven reforestation experience to your land

PLANNING

stack

We work in partnership with you - combining the deep local knowledge of our on-the-ground scientists and ecologists with the innovation and global expertise of our Amsterdam-based team - to design a custom reforestation plan for your property, at no cost or no risk to you.

PLANTING

Circle

We use our local restoration partner with 22+ years of experience to plant a diverse mix of native species that will rebuild healthy forests, boost biodiversity, improve soil and water quality, all while sequestering carbon.

MAINTENANCE

Graph

We provide a minimum of three years post-planting maintenance carried out by our local restoration partner in collaboration with our Australian-based Operations Managers. You will have no replanting obligation and can monitor the project's progress using our online tools.

How it works

01 / Planning

Every project starts with your land and a shared commitment to restoration.

  • Intro & Site Goals: We begin by assessing your land’s suitability for carbon removal, while discussing how restoration can align with your broader land use.
  • Tailored Analysis: Using Land Life’s remote sensing tech, we assess site conditions, restoration potential, and carbon estimates.
  • Site Visit: Our local team visits your property to ground-truth the data and confirm logistics.
  • Agreement: Once you're ready, we formalise the project through a simple contract — we cover the costs, and you retain ownership of your land.

02 / Planting

Science-based restoration, designed for your landscape.

  • Custom Design: Our ecologists create a restoration plan using diverse native species, sourced locally and tailored to your location. We optimise the design of our projects to create habitats for local wildlife and enhance biological connectivity in the region.
  • Site Preparation: We handle land preparation (e.g. weed clearing, feral pest control, fencing) to set your site up for success.
  • Professional Planting: Our experienced partner Cassinia Environmental - with 22+ years of local restoration experience - carries out the planting using the right tools, timing and technique.

03 / Monitoring & Stewardship

We don’t just plant trees — we care for them.

  • Ongoing Management: After your trees have been planted, we continue to manage the restoration site, such as feral pest, weed and erosion control, fire mitigation and repairing fencing as necessary — easing the burden on you. Depending on the site and location, this is typically for the first 3-5 years post-planting.
  • Transparent Monitoring: Using our exclusive Scientific Field Monitoring Systems, remote sensing tech and on-site visits, we track tree survival, growth and biomass. You receive regular updates via our online dashboard.
  • Carbon Rights: Land Life retains the carbon rights for the first 40 years to fund the restoration. From years 41 to 100, carbon rights transfer to you — creating a potential legacy income stream.
  • Long Term Protection: Permanent protection of the reforested area is placed under legal covenant by Land Life.

Every project starts with a simple conversation. Let’s explore your land’s potential to deliver impact and income.
